Kathryn + Chris | Downtown Marquette Michigan Wedding
It was a glorious summer week in the heart of Wisconsin as kids arrived to Spencer Lake Bible Camp ready for a few days of fun in the sun. Kathryn traveled from Northern Michigan and first met Chris, a dark haired boy from Wisconsin, amidst camp activities. Though they said their goodbyes and went their separate ways home after the week ended, their summer friendship was just the beginning.
Fast forward nearly a decade down the road, and the two had grown and matured, beginning lives as adults apart from one another. It wasn’t until Chris traveled to Northern Michigan for work and ran into Kathryn in a restaurant that a friendship began once again. Living apart in separate states, the two kept in touch, and slowly that rekindled friendship began turning into something more.
In attempt to spend time with one another, Kathryn and Chris began meeting up in places in between their Michigan and Wisconsin homes, taking off on adventures to random towns and parks. Their love for adventure and the outdoors was transforming the lighthearted relationship into a whirlwind romance, and ignoring it soon became impossible. Kathryn and Chris fell in love slowly, yet all at once; and that love was the beginning of an adventure all their own.
Kathryn and Chris tied the knot in Kathryn’s hometown of Marquette, Michigan on an early spring morning. They celebrated to the theme of their love; adventure, and used perfect little notes of both their hometowns to fill the spaces of their downtown venue. The two and their guests dined on a brunch menu catered by Elizabeth’s Chophouse, delighted in cake adorned with lake pebble shaped chocolates from Joe’s Cakes, and celebrated the early afternoon with the most hysterical rounds of bingo anyone has yet to witness.
We wish you the best, K&C, with a life full of the best kinds of adventure!
