When Midwest girl, Lauren, traveled to Mexico for school, she never imagined finding a person she would fall in love with. Even more, she couldn’t have fathomed meeting her future husband. But when Lauren met Pacific North West boy, Mike, something shifted.
What started as classmates turned into friends exploring a foreign country together, and eventually, grew perfectly into love. After Mexico, Lauren made the decision to move across the country and make a new home with Mike in sunny San Diego, and it wasn’t long before they began making plans for their happily ever after.
Lauren and Mike had told us they wanted a location for their engagement session that had a sense of nature that could give a feel of where they came from, rather than the quintessential San Diego vibe. Finding something as lovely as the forests in both the PNW or Michigan within San Diego felt like a challenge, but with it’s Southern California twist, Elfin Forest did not let us down. With looming trees, a running river – and even ducks – Elfin Forest was the perfect nature escape outside of the city.
