We had the absolute joy of snapping family photos for our cousins, Ashton and Josh, and their sweet patootie, Sophia, in the fall.

If we could describe Soph in a few words: independent, adventurous, daddy’s girl. And GOSH those are some good traits to have when capturing photos! We love these three to bits and pieces and only wish that Seattle wasn’t so far away so we could snap photos of them on the regular.

We had the privilege of second shooting for our cousin, Josh, at the wedding of our OTHER cousin, Heather, in October! Heather and Aniefiok (“Nerf” for short) were married on a chilly autumn day at the Butte des Morts Country Club in Northern Wisconsin, surrounded by all of their loved ones. We were so thrilled to be able to do what we love around the people that we love (though let’s be honest, taking photos at a family members wedding is wayyy more fun than work). Heather, Nerf, and Josh had crafted the perfect timeline for photos so that there was plenty of time to relax, take copious amounts of photos in beautiful locations, and even squeeze in a moment for some hot chocolate in the lobby with their wedding party. Yep, that’s our kind of wedding day!

We had the sweeeeetest of treats this last week, having our friends Tucker and Erin staying with us here in San Diego. We ate lots of bean and cheese burritos, watched sunsets and surfers, and pranced around the Safari Park like the wide-eyed kids we actually are.

I have been trying to be more intentional about grabbing my real camera in place of my iPhone to capture our everyday moments that we can enoy forever. Thankfully, on this evening at the beach, I remembered to do just that.
