Amanda + Kyle | Belsolda Farms Wedding
They were the front yard kids. When she was a young girl, Amanda and her neighborhood friends spent the long summer days and winter weekends playing outside in the yards and quiet streets of small town, Michigan. Amanda could have never imagined actually growing up and marrying one of the front yard kids – but that is exactly what happened. Childhood turned into teen years and then into college days, and as those years passed the friendship she had with Kyle also began to grow; from boyfriend and girlfriend to falling in love, all the way to buying their own front yard together.
Amanda and Kyle were married on a hot summer day in that same Michigan town, surrounded by all of their family and friends at Belsolda Farm. Under the apple trees they said “I Do” and they danced the night away inside of the twinkling barn. Congratulations Amanda and Kyle, we wish you the sweetest of married days as you continue to grow together (and who knows, maybe filling the neighborhood with your own front yard kids, *wink*)!

Megan + Andrew | Marquette Michigan Wedding
Vintage handkerchiefs were passed out in the morning, and by the evening toasts nearly everyone was in need of one. Megan looked up at her freshly-announced-husband while he spoke to the guests and thanked them for coming. It wasn’t just the moms crying, even the groomsmen were caught wiping tears. The tables were decorated with vintage items Megan had collected over the past year; tiny vases with a single stem, stacks of books wrapped in twine, little glass figurines. Outside the tent were even more gorgeous items that had been gathered for just this day, and it had all come together in the most beautiful of ways. A warm breeze blew across the lake and wrapped everyone up as they raised their glasses in cheers. Andrew leaned over and kissed his bride, knowing their promise of forever was, hands down, the most perfect part of the entire day.

Megan + Stephen | Marquette Michigan Wedding
Megan and her bridesmaids bustled about the penthouse of the 1930’s Landmark Inn, overlooking the sweet little town and vast waters of Lake Superior. Mimosa’s were poured, passed out, and sipped between smiling lips while music and laughter filled the space. Once their hair was sprayed and their lips were sparkling, they made their way to the church and Megan counted the minutes until she would see her groom-to-be, Stephen.
The doors of the church opened and there stood Megan with her parents on either arm. Stephen’s heart pumped as he gazed at his bride, and the tears began streaming down Megan’s cheeks. She hugged and kissed her mom and dad, and as she turned towards Stephen they looked into each other’s eyes and knew, this was the best first day of the rest of their lives.
The weather was bright and warm, and we’ll be honest – quite windy. There were reported gusts up to 30mph, and even though we stuck close to the water where the wind was the craziest, Megan and Stephen didn’t let that stop them from soaking up each minute of the day.
And then the wind really picked up…!
