Eden + Eric | Escondido California Wedding
Eric began walking towards her on the beach, though Eden hadn’t a clue he was there. In fact, Eden didn’t even know he was in her town, as they were currently living hours apart from each other. Eric’s chest was heavy with a beating heart, and he gripped tight the book he carried in his hand. Eden turned around, and when she realized who was walking towards her, she knew. Her heart began racing just the same, and it was as if the ocean began playing their song while the sea breeze embraced them both together in the same place. They looked at one another, eyes sparkling and small laughter seeping out, and Eric opened the book while getting down on one knee, revealing a ring hidden within the pages. Eden burst out with a chorus of “yes” and the next thing she knew she was being swept away to a surprise engagement party with both their families gathered to celebrate.
The day before their wedding, we met up with Eden and Eric and explored the Kit Carson Park in Escondido, California. The evening was perfectly hot, and we even spied a bobcat hunting a little creature in the woods (though sadly, did not get any photos of it!).
Tears began flowing the morning of the wedding, and they didn’t stop until the sun was long set behind the horizon. Eden and Eric tied the knot at the home of Eden’s grandmother, saying their “I do’s” under one of the many olive trees that had grown on the property from Eden’s father spitting olive pits in the yard as a boy (how amazing is that). The two and their guests enjoyed dinner from the MIHO gastrotruck, roasted marshmallows at a s’mores buffet, and enjoyed tasty drinks served up at a bar made by Eden’s father.
When your brother is a professional barber you have the advantage of every dude in your wedding sporting amazing do’s. (Eden’s brother, Dane, owns Eagle & Pig in Costa Mesa, check out all it’s radness here)
Because when your family styles this good, you just have to capture it:

I had no doubt Paul and Amy you would produce amazing photos and memories of Eric and Eden’s wedding…they are truly stunning! What I was not prepared for was the most beautiful display of a lifetime of prayers converging and revealing their answers through your photos. My heart is so full! Thank you and I thank God He chose to gift you two beautiful people with the talent to reveal His glory in our family.
